Why Support Poor Muslim Communities during Ramadan?
Muslims are among the poorest of the poor in the world. Around 40% of the Muslim population languishes in abject poverty, with nearly 760 million living under £1.05 a day.
Despite the well-known generosity of Muslims, many still face the challenge of food poverty. You can make a difference by supporting our Ramadan Food Appeal and helping us provide a Ramadan Food Pack for at least one needy family. Dabbagh Welfare Trust is organising community iftar dinners in 11 communities across 8 countries. By sponsoring a community Iftar through the Ramadan Food Appeal, you will provide 40 people with freshly cooked food, dates, fruit and water. Sponsor a community iftar with Dabbagh Welfare Trust.
Thousands of Widows like Kiran will receive a Food Pack this Ramadan
Kiran is a strong and determined widow with three children. Since her husband’s passing, she has faced many hardships in her life. To provide for her family, she works as a housemaid in people’s homes. However, it is not enough to feed her three orphaned children and elderly mother.
This Ramadan, Kiran and thousands of other widows will receive a Ramadan food pack from Dabbagh Welfare Trust. In addition, she will also receive financial support from the donations received from the Ramadan Zakat Appeal. Please donate generously to the Ramadan Food Appeal, Ramadan Zakat Appeal, and Ramadan Sadaqah Jariyah Appeal. Your contributions will help us make this Ramadan one to remember for widows and other needy families.
